Lion Boy
To me the most interesting or influential artists wear their pain and truth on their sleeves. The humility we possess during the humbling times in our lives is a reflection of our character. There is no way out but through. I feel it is safe to say… I made it through. After years of battling with loss something was gained. This body of work reflects the pain, lessons, and purpose I discovered through the loss of my Mom and other crippling changes that occurred simultaneously. I dedicate this to her and all whom deal with loss. (Click photo below to view video)
Family Blending
Capturing the journey. An adventure to Tuscany, Italy resulted in this song and video. A widowed man (My Father) who married a divorced woman. Each with three kids. The journey to acceptance of the past and embracing one another and our new family dynamic.
I discovered the instrumental while listening to my Spotify Discover Weekly leaving The town of Lucca, Italy. Immediately the chorus came to me as I freestyled in the car while my significant other recorded a voice note of what I was singing. I wrote the verses while on the plane back to New York. Filming and editing this video allowed me to see my father in a new light as we connected much over the trip. I am thankful for the experience and opportunity to create this song and video. It has helped me heal in some ways… and it is something we will be able to look back on forever. (Click photo below to view video)
Dedicated to all the families adapting to change and learning to blend.
“All Starts With You”
Holidays are a beautiful but sensitive time as the year closes and we pick gifts for family and friends you can’t help but reflect. I made this beat last New Years and had warm feelings and Ideas immediately. The song didn’t fully materialize right away. Exactly one year later this session ironically came up for me. Once I heard the beat immediately those same feeling came over me. This time the song and video flowed right out of me. I hope you enjoy this record and video as much as I did making it. It was a great way to end a great year and I look forward to whats to come. Happy Holidays to ALL! (Click photo below to view video)
